This is a really good article and the important point to take away is that if you dont give notice it could affect your reputation and success in getting your next job.

ANother thing is you dont want to burn any bridges as you may come into contact with person again and what if you want a reference if you dont give notice you probably wont get it.

But what if they asked for your social media passwords as a condition to employment? Or it's some retail or fast food job & you're doing something 180 degrees away from it?

Good article. Serving notice period is the best thing to avoid bad references for future job hunts.
