Grim indeed – this survey has some eye-opening data about how connected we are at all times!
Do you think it’s only a matter of time for FLSA law to address the issue of undocumented overtime for non-exempt workers responding to email and the pressure by bosses to do so?
How did we create so much work for ourselves in the first place and if we’re so busy then why are companies still suffering from low levels of employee engagement and lower revenues?
I would love to see FLSA completely abolished.
I believe that is the answer. We are so busy. Workers are never really giving themselves downtime. We are checking emails, sending reports and talking with clients. I feel we are moving into a quanity over quality time where burnout comes much more quickly.
