Don’t encourage them! We want them to let us work from home without cutting our pay.
I certainly wouldn’t accept any less pay for working from home. I’d be getting the same (or more) work done, and the company would be saving money by not having to maintain an office for me.
What’s the justification for paying me less, the fact that I won’t be paying for commuting expenses? If that’s the case, would the company raise my salary if I moved further away from the office and my expenses went up? I don’t think so…
